The Lanark City Council voted to keep executive-session minutes sealed and discussed follow-up steps for code enforcement and unsettled budget items at its March 17 meeting.
A motion by Alderperson Brad Knutti, seconded by Alderperson Mark Macomber, to keep the executive session minutes sealed carried by six aye votes. Attorney Ed Mitchell reported he is finalizing minor updates to the code-enforcement contract; council members agreed to retain the item on the April 7 agenda to ensure completion before the spring season and to review ordinances and fees once the contract is finalized. Council also tabled additional budget work that requires further coordination with the Library and Cemetery.
Members did not adopt changes to ordinances or fees during the meeting and left the budget items pending further staff and clerk follow-up.
