Millerton authorizes intermunicipal equipment agreement after DPW fire

Mayor Jenn Najdek gave a brief overview of Resolution 2025-09, which authorizes the Village of Millerton to enter an intermunicipal agreement (IMA) with Dutchess County and the Town of Amenia to borrow highway equipment after a fire at the DPW/Water Department. Deputy Mayor Matt Hartzog moved and Trustee Matt Soleau seconded authorization of the IMA for loaner vehicles for DPW and the police department; the motion carried unanimously.
The IMA is intended to provide temporary equipment support while the village’s DPW equipment is out of service. The resolution was approved on Feb. 10 and is on file with the clerk.
