The Village of Millerton Board of Trustees opened a public hearing on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2025 opportunities at 6:06 PM on Jan. 27 and closed the hearing at 6:18 PM after hearing no public comment. Deputy Mayor Matt Hartzog moved to open the hearing; Trustee David Sherman seconded and the board voted unanimously.
During the hearing the board discussed replacing sidewalks on Church Street and North Center Street and agreed a letter of intent is required by Feb. 3, with the full CDBG application due March 3. Mayor Jenn Najdek suggested the village review and edit the previous sidewalk RFP so materials are ready. Trustee David Sherman agreed to assist Mayor Najdek with drafting the letter of intent. The board recorded no public comments during the hearing.
The action now moves to preparing the letter and the application timeline; if the village submits the letter by Feb. 3 it will preserve eligibility to file the full CDBG application on March 3.
