Lanark approves employee salary increases after executive session

Approved compensation changes include: Jason Alvarado, salary set to $75,831.15; Drew Giedd, hourly wage $28.00; Brett Meinsma, hourly $24.59; Bryce Meinsma, hourly $22.35; Mark Johnson, hourly $25.46; Treasurer salary $21,500; Cleaning position $19.00/hr; Utility Clerk salary $33,000; Chief Troy Randall salary $86,000; Officer Zach Plum salary $54,500. The motion carried by five aye votes (Alderpersons Rausch, Metz, Lartz, Knutti and Plock); Alderperson Mark Macomber was absent.
The increases were approved as personnel actions during the meeting; the council did not discuss offsets or detailed budget-line transfers at the time. Staff will reflect the changes in payroll and provide documentation as required.
