The Town Board recorded that Justice Clerk Heidi Foley notified the Supervisor that Oct. 24 would be her last day and the board rescinded her appointment effective close of business Oct. 24. The board then appointed Ms. Ann Dabiew, Town of Bombay Justice Court Clerk, to fill the vacancy for the Moira Justice Court effective Oct. 25, 2024 through Dec. 31, 2024, with salary to be pro-rated and duties set by the town justices.
The minutes describe Ms. Dabiew as having the necessary training and experience: "Ms. Ann Dabiew, Town of Bombay Justice Court Clerk, who has the required training and 7 years of experience, has offered her services to fill said vacancy." The appointment was made pursuant to Town Law Article III §20(1)(b) and upon advice and consent of Town Justices Durant and McCormick.
