Lansing committee agrees to join American Discovery 250 Relay, reserves spot for Grand Illinois Trail 2027

The committee agreed to participate in the national America250 relay along the American Discovery Trail, an ADTS-coordinated relay described in the minutes as the "American Discovery 250 Relay: One Trail • One Nation • 250 Years in Motion." Mary Patchin indicated she had already been contacted by an ADTS member about the relay and the committee agreed to participate and to pass the relay baton at a planned Lansing site.
Members also discussed the Grand Illinois Trail (GIT) event, which highlights several communities along the GIT. Committee members agreed to reserve a space for Lansing in the 2027 GIT event and set a target to decide on participation by the end of September 2026.
