JMS cheer and JHS DECA honored; one DECA team advances to Orlando

The board opened its April 23 meeting with recognition of student achievements. Coach Hudson introduced the Jacksonville Middle School cheer team and highlighted that the 22-member squad competed this year in the large division and continued the program's legacy of high achievement.
JHS DECA advisors Doug Moy and Niki Steckel reported student competition placements: Ella Rajaguru, Luke Driver and Annemarie Fraas placed fourth in 'Little Stove'; Ella Bruere and Rudy McCollough placed fourth in 'Grain Bins'; and the team of Cole Nebel, Jamila Sophia Lanorio and Emma Guidish placed third and secured a spot to present in Orlando with their 'Kidshare/Rideshare' presentation.
