Resident urges rethink of portable-toilet placement at Lena farmers market

Rachael Homerding told the board the farmers market has grown and portable toilets placed uptown are being heavily used by visitors and nearby businesses. "The Farmers Markets have gotten bigger and results in more people using the businesses near the market," Homerding said. She said she will check with the rental company about whether a trailer-mounted unit would be allowed.
President Steve Buss suggested the board consider locating a unit on a trailer so it can be moved rather than left in place all week. The board did not take formal action at the meeting but Homerding's request was acknowledged and staff were asked to follow up as needed.
