Village engineer outlines sewer lining and storm sewer work; homeowner notifications to be bilingual

Village engineer Brian Nott briefed the board on upcoming sewer lining and storm sewer projects and said Hoerr Construction will handle homeowner notifications. "Every homeowner will get notification 2-3 days in advance, a flier on their door, and an additional mailer all in English and Spanish," Nott said, and he added that televising and cleaning will be used to locate problem areas.
Nott warned that some temporary effects on private plumbing are possible while work is underway and said notices will include instructions to cover toilets and floor drains if necessary. The board requested a public summary be posted online and at Village Hall; Hoerr planned to begin the work the week of the meeting.
