City administrator cites drainage complaints and readies ARPA grant submission

City Administrator Tyler Lanier told alderpersons that recent heavy rainfall generated multiple resident complaints about how stormwater drains within Leland Grove. Lanier said staff will follow up on drainage concerns and coordinate any necessary public-works responses.
Lanier reported that the city’s ARPA grant application will be completed and submitted by the end of the week. He also told the council the city has experienced a "significant increase in robot generated Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests." Lanier added staff will send a letter to a Park Street resident who rents or leases a home and to the property owner regarding an ordinance violation for parked cars along a driveway.
