The Board of Public Works approved two change orders during its June 10 meeting. DPW engineering recommended change order #1 to BM32071 (Shelby Street over Pleasant Run and Raymond Street over Pleasant Run) with Pontum Contractors Inc., which increases the contract by $123,563.06 to a new total not-to-exceed $4,123,841.72 and adds 10 days to the substantial and final completion dates. Nathan Sheets said the increase covers work-directive quantities and removal of unforeseen trolley tracks encountered during construction.
The board also approved change order #3 to ST-32128 (Madison Avenue, Diet from Pleasant Run to Ray Street) with Calumet Civil Contractors; Sheets said the change order provides quantity adjustments and offsets among work directives but does not change the not-to-exceed contract amount of $13,778,978.75 or the contract completion dates.
