Administrators report athletics updates, internet restrictions and ISBE assessment results

During the Sept. 15 meeting Principal Eric Michaelsen and Director of Curriculum Tina Malak provided several updates to the board. Michaelsen summarized the Athletic Hall of Fame event and discussed renewal of the girls’ gymnastics co-op; he also said student access during school hours to streaming and social media will be restricted going forward. Michaelsen and Malak reviewed ISBE performance levels and new cut scores alongside the district's 2024–25 assessment results.
Ken Parchem presented the business office financial reports as of Aug. 31, 2025, reviewed the 2025–26 Risk Management Plan, and reminded the board that annual compensation reports will be publicly posted following the meeting. Superintendent Dr. Matt Maxwell and Vice President Lynn Antonopoulos also gave a brief community recap, noting the LHSEF’s Taste of Lemont event and Lemont High School’s appearance in Chicago Magazine’s Top Schools list.
