The Town Board set a public hearing for the Tentative FY2025 Budget on Oct. 22, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., to be followed immediately by a public hearing on Proposed Local Law No. 3 of 2024 (a proposed local law authorizing a property tax levy in excess of the limit established by General Municipal Law §3-c). Budget Officer Angela Debeer will prepare the Tentative Budget for presentation at that hearing.
Local Law #3 was introduced at the Oct. 8 meeting and the board adopted Resolution #153-2024 to schedule the public hearing. The minutes note that the Local Law would allow the Town to levy in excess of the tax cap if adopted after public process; details of the proposed levy increase (dollar amount or percentage) were not specified in the minutes.
