The Lindop School District 92 Board of Education voted Aug. 13 to authorize an investigation into Superintendent Dr. Janiece Jackson for alleged misconduct, including an alleged breach of contract, and to place her on administrative leave pending the results.
Ms. Johnson moved to authorize the investigation; the motion passed with Ms. Griffin voting no and Mr. Buchanan absent. Later, the board approved administrative leave, a separate motion that passed despite "no" votes from Ms. Griffin and Mr. Hannah. The board took both actions after returning from a closed session called under the Illinois Open Meetings Act, 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
