Lindop board adopts new and renewed curricula for K–8, spends Title I and education funds

On July 22 the board approved new and renewed curriculum adoptions including Wonders (grades 2–5), CKLA (K–1), and renewals for middle-school ELA, social studies, and science, funded from Title I and Education Fund allocations.
The Lindop School District 92 board voted July 22 to adopt multiple literacy and foundational curriculum packages and to renew existing middle-school curricula. The board approved Wonders for grades 2–5 at $79,435.10 and CKLA by Amplify for grades K–1 at $23,000; both purchases are to be paid from Title I funds. Motions were recorded as made by Ms. Johnson and Mr. Hannah respectively, with votes carried on voice vote.
The board also approved renewal of middle school English language arts (MyPerspectives) at $16,591.12 (Title I), MyWorld social studies at $3,425.88 (Education Fund) and Elevate Science at $11,401.40 (Education Fund). Each renewal was presented as a continuation of adopted curriculum and carried on voice votes during the meeting.
