Town approves three-year Odessa fire-protection contract with escalating payments

On Nov. 7, 2024 the Town of Montour Board approved a three-year fire-protection contract with the Village of Odessa. The contract requires annual payments due on or before Feb. 15 of each year: 2025 — $59,996.00; 2026 — $65,963.00; 2027 — $72,560.00. The board passed the measure unanimously as Resolution #62.
Councilperson Taber moved to accept the contract and Councilperson Stamp seconded the motion; the vote was recorded Ayes 4, Noes 0. The contract and its scheduled payments were included in the FY2025 budget documents reviewed that evening.
