The Moriah Central School District Board of Education on Jan. 21 accepted the resignation of Tosha Leedy, Teacher Aide, effective Jan. 3, 2025, and approved two additions to its substitute teacher list. Mrs. Kazlo moved to accept Leedy's resignation and Mr. Harlow seconded; the motion carried 'All in favor.'
The board also approved two additions to the substitute list—Tosha Leedy and Montannah Scazlo—on a roll-call vote recorded as 6 YES, 0 NO, 0 ABSTAIN (motion by Mrs. Gaddor, seconded by Mr. Harlow). Separately, the board granted a maternity leave request for Janelle Vargo, effective Jan. 13, 2025, with a return to work anticipated in April; that item was approved on a motion by Mr. Malbon and seconded by Mrs. Gilbo.
