Board accepts several letters of intent to retire from staff

Dean Fleming (Secondary Mathematics Teacher) and Julie Strieble (Special Education Teacher) submitted retirement notices effective June 30, 2025; Thomas Brooks (Bus Driver/Maintenance Worker) submitted a retirement notice effective April 4, 2025; Mary (Jacques) Pierce (Special Education Teacher) submitted a notice effective June 30, 2025; and Stephan Schaefer (Secondary Science Teacher) submitted a notice effective Oct. 21, 2025. Each retirement was approved by motion and recorded as carried.
The board also congratulated Linda Demarais on her retirement effective Dec. 31, 2024 and thanked her for service to Moriah Central School. The minutes do not include personnel replacement plans or discussion of recruitment timelines.
