Drainage committee accepts district resignation, approves local culvert CEAs and inspection

The Drainage Committee of the Assumption Parish Police Jury unanimously accepted the resignation of Mr. Brad Diaz from the Pierre Part/Belle River Consolidated Drainage District #1, effective June 19, 2026. Committee member Charles Breaux moved the acceptance and Myron Matherne seconded; the motion was adopted without objection.
The committee also approved Cooperative Endeavor Agreements for several culvert and driveway installations recommended by the Parish Manager: a culvert installation with Bharat Moonkisson for $7,675; a driveway culvert installation with Polly Bernard for $1,574; a driveway culvert installation with Lucy Ramson for $1,574; and a culvert installation with Brian Crochet for $4,200. The committee authorized the President to sign the CEAs as recommended. Charles Breaux moved the culvert CEAs and Myron Matherne seconded; each motion passed unanimously.
In addition, the committee approved a site inspection to identify a collapsing culvert at 4509 Hwy 1 at a total cost of $700. Myron Matherne moved the inspection motion and Charles Breaux seconded. The inspection approval was unanimous.
The committee recorded no public comment on these items. All approvals were recorded as unanimous motions during the Drainage Committee meeting.
