President Peter D. Theodore brought two separate records actions for a vote: authorization to release certain closed-session minutes (listed attachment) covering Sept. 1, 2016 through June 5, 2025, and authorization to destroy closed-session audio recordings held prior to Jan. 31, 2024 for which approved minutes already exist. Secretary John P. Vranas moved both motions; Member Ted Kwon seconded the audio-recording destruction motion. Both motions passed by recorded voice vote: Ayes — Foutris, Vranas, Kwon, Oleniczak, Rosenberg, Theodore; Absent — Seta.
Board minutes state the motions were recommended by the Secretary of the Board after bi‑annual review and that approved minutes already exist for the recordings slated for destruction. The actions were presented as routine governance housekeeping intended to keep the district’s records schedule current.
