Monroe County Legislature issues multiple recognitions, proclaims Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

President Yversha Román and several legislators read and filed a series of proclamations and recognitions during the Sept. 10 session. The Legislature honored Dave Lippa and Stop the 22 a Day for work on veterans' and first‑responders' mental health; recognized the Climate Solutions Accelerator for regional climate collaboration; honored Julia Tedesco for her leadership at Foodlink; proclaimed September 2024 as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and recognized the C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association; and recognized Jo Anne Antonacci for her career service with Monroe 2‑Orleans BOCES.
Some recognitions were issued jointly with County Executive Adam J. Bello; others were presented jointly by legislative leaders including Majority Leader Michael Yudelson, Deputy Majority Leader William Burgess, Minority Leader Steve Brew, and Deputy Minority Leader Paul Dondorfer, as recorded in the session minutes.
