Monroe County Legislature approves nine resolutions in consent vote

The Monroe County Legislature on Sept. 10 approved a package of nine resolutions in a single consent action after Majority Leader Michael Yudelson moved to consider the remaining agenda items as a group, excluding item 10. The measures include two bond authorizations for airport improvements, multiple contracts for construction and software, and authorizations to settle pending lawsuits.

Key measures passed included a $5,250,000 bond authorization to finance improvements to buildings at the Frederick Douglass–Greater Rochester International Airport and a separate $3,800,000 bond authorization for safety and security improvements at the same airport. The Legislature also approved a contract for NYS Uniform Code enforcement software, construction contracts for the Genesee Valley Pump Station, reimbursement contracts with local economic development entities and Greater Rochester Enterprise, a settlement and release agreement with Christa Construction, LLC and Monroe Roadways Contractors, Inc., and approval to settle two federal lawsuits (Case No. 20-cv-07094 and Case No. 22-cv-06015).

The consent action allowed the Legislature to complete these items quickly; Item 10 (a separate personnel testing contract) was excluded from the block and left for separate consideration. The meeting adjourned at 6:49 P.M.
