Rankin board honors Principal April McLaughlin; Student Council president passes baton

Board President Debbie Lowman and Dr. Matt Gordon formally recognized April McLaughlin for 11 years of service as Principal and Athletic Director and wished her well in a new principal role at Armstrong School. McLaughlin thanked the board and spoke fondly about her time serving the district.
Student Council President Lewis Beckham delivered the student council report, thanked Mrs. Thompson for introducing him to StuCo and said he will hand leadership to newly elected President Olivia Myers; the council plans a summer leadership camp and new Administration/StuCo executive board meetings established this year were described as helpful.
