Board sets Aug. 19 public hearings for $13.5M in proposed interfund transfers

The Board approved two resolutions July 8 to publish notice and hold public hearings on proposed permanent interfund transfers included in the tentative 2025–26 budget. Resolution 250708a sets a hearing for a $12,000,000 transfer from the Education Fund to the Operations & Maintenance Fund; Resolution 250708b sets a hearing for a $1,500,000 transfer from the Education Fund to the Transportation Fund. Both hearings are scheduled to be held Aug. 19, 2025 as part of the regular Board meeting.
Administration explained that two of the tentative transfers require a published notice and public hearing prior to final approval. Bennett Lasko moved to approve Resolution 250708a and 250708b; Jaret Fishman seconded motions as recorded. Roll call votes were unanimous (AYES: Fink, Fishman, Itkin, Kessler, Lasko).
