The approved trade awards included major contracts such as Powerlink Electric ($3,397,690), Anthony Roofing ($2,819,000) and Lakeshore Glass & Mirror ($2,548,000). The Trane proposal included two pricing options: a $4.0 million option using existing piping and a $4.28 million option replacing piping to improve sound attenuation. The Board approved the contract within the established $4.3 million budget.
Bennett Lasko moved the motion to approve the awards and the Trane proposal; Melissa Itkin seconded. President Art Kessler called the roll: AYES — Fink, Fishman, Itkin, Kessler, Lasko; NAYS — none. The motion passed 5–0.
Why it matters: the awards fund a multitrade renovation expected to affect Braeside’s facilities and schedule; administrators noted consultant input on custom window replacement to preserve architectural details.
