Superintendent Mr. Johnson told the Board that a tentative Cooperative Baseball Agreement with Robein School District #85 is under consideration but raised concerns about logistics if all practices were scheduled at Eastside Centre. Board members and administrators discussed transportation for student athletes and the possibility of converting Parkview School's baseball field for softball use if it would not be used for baseball.
Administrators Mr. Yocum and Mr. Thompson said minor field modifications and fencing changes would be required to accommodate softball. The Board decided to place the tentative agreement on the Jan. 27 agenda to give staff time to clarify transportation arrangements and the viability of using Parkview's field for softball.
No formal motion to approve the cooperative agreement occurred on Jan. 13; the minutes record the discussion and the decision to defer action to the next meeting.
