Oak Grove SD 68 establishes AI Coalition and advances PaCE framework for middle schools

Alexa Dunn, Director of Teaching and Learning, told the board the District is establishing an AI Coalition to help develop a usable AI plan for students and staff and that the coalition will work under Board Policy 6.235. Dunn said the district will use LEAP Innovations for consulting on AI in the classroom.
Dunn also discussed the Illinois PaCE Framework (Post‑secondary and Career Expectations), noting it was mandated for high schools last year and must now be established for middle schools; she reported meetings with SEL and STEM teachers to evaluate current work and identify gaps.
