District to shift grades 3–5 to Chromebooks and adopt Hapara; 19 new Prometheon panels coming

Dmitry Andrievsky, Director of Technology, reported that the district is transitioning grades 3 through 5 from Mac devices to Chromebooks and will "implement a new classroom management and engagement platform called Hapara" to replace Apple Classroom and Lightspeed Classroom. Andrievsky said Hapara will streamline how teachers monitor student activity and guide learning in the Chromebook environment.
Phase II of Prometheon board installations is underway with 19 additional panels being installed, walls and cord routing are being repaired this summer, and staff training on the new panels is scheduled for August 12. Andrievsky also reported that new security cameras were installed around the building and are operational.
