The North Shore SD 112 Board voted to extend its Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Highland Park for the 2025–26 School Resource Officer (SRO). Under the extension the District will reimburse the City for 75% of the SRO’s annual salary and benefits and 100% of salary and benefits for overtime and special-event duty directly related to SRO services to the District.
Board members approved the extension by roll-call vote; the agreement continues the SRO arrangement established in 2023 and extended for 2024–25. Administration indicated the extension confirms duties, compensation structure and work schedule for the SRO for the 2025–26 school year.
