Council approves contracts for pickleball courts, pool slide and park lighting projects

On the Board of Public Works’ recommendations the council authorized four park and recreation-related contracts. Midwest Seal Coating will perform pickleball court post-net installation and surface application at Northeast Park for $54,500, funded by $40,000 in 2023A capital bonds and $14,500 in project fundraising. The council accepted a $41,000.41 quote from Badger Swim Pools for a Poolside Pool Slide Adventures Aqua Climb to replace the Rec Park drop slide, to be funded by 2023A capital bonds. Council also approved hiring Gens Electric for Northeast Park lighting replacement for $124,900 (funded from special project fundraising) and accepted a $149,700 quote to install new Twining Park softball field lighting from Ghentze Electric, funded from 2023A capital bonds. All measures passed without recorded opposition.
