At Grindstone, S7 said the tower stack work should be complete within July and that Verizon will relocate sector antennas to the new tower as part of its 5G upgrade. S7 warned that backhaul upgrades will change lease terms and likely increase costs when final equipment lists and loading are defined.
Board members asked how relocation would affect remaining capacity on older towers; S7 recommended another structural analysis after the relocations are complete to quantify available loading. No lease changes were finalized at the meeting.
