The Commission considered a FLOST (food, local option sales tax/other local-option funding advertisement) resolution at its July 1 meeting and voted unanimously to table the resolution until required newspaper advertising is run. Commissioners and staff discussed that the process requires two readings and three weeks of advertising with at least one week between meetings.
Chairman Coffey and Commissioner Timothy Biddle supported tabling the resolution until staff correct typos and complete the advertising schedule. The minutes record that the motion to table passed and that staff will return with corrected language and the advertisement schedule for the readings.
