County manager reports water‑system repairs and public‑works activity; tank cleaning and culvert work underway

Water department: staff completed five service-line repairs in July and US Tank cleaned Tank #2 as part of a four‑year service cycle. Weaver said the county submitted the consumer confidence report and is awaiting a Popco schedule before taking another tank offline for repair.
Public works: crews are repairing the long-stopped culvert at the end of Firetower Road and have returned the motor grader to Patterson Road work. The county continues routine mowing and maintenance; a new Holland mower and batwing attachments are in service.
Weaver also reported 46 locates for internet-service activity and said the county cleaned cemeteries and Riverbend Park after Fourth of July events. He said the stray facility budget is tracking better after staffing reductions and noted a maintenance contract under consideration for IGSA work.
