Resident urges county to investigate recurring events on Dysart Drive after CUP withdrawal

Debbie Thiel, a Lamoille resident, told the Elko County Commission she and neighbors were alarmed that events continue on Dysart Drive after the applicant withdrew his conditional use permit. "I'm Debbie Thiel, and I live at 1144 Dysart Drive, Lamoille, Nevada," Thiel said, and described heavy weekend use for setup, events and breakdown that she said has left the road in poor condition.
Thiel said neighbors counted "Out of the 41 vehicles that went up the road on those times, only 1 was from the neighborhood," and raised concerns about road maintenance, dust and fire hazards. Commissioners advised filing a zoning complaint form (available on the county website or at Planning & Zoning) so staff can investigate whether the events violate permitting or zoning rules. Planning staff offered to verify any letters the neighbors mailed and to follow up with the complainants.
