The Board of Clark County Commissioners approved the minutes and journal of the prior meeting by motion of Commissioner Charles A. Patterson, seconded by Commissioner Sasha L. Rittenhouse. The roll call on that motion recorded: "Commissioner Patterson, Yes; Commissioner Rittenhouse, Yes."
Commissioner Patterson also moved to recess the meeting for 10 minutes to swear in Greg Kaffenbarger; the meeting was recessed and later returned to public session. Later in the meeting, Patterson moved and Kaffenbarger seconded a motion to enter executive session to discuss pending litigation; minutes state "All were in favor. The motion carried." After returning from executive session, the board adopted Resolution 2026-0422 appointing Greg R. Kaffenbarger as Acting County Commissioner and then moved to adjourn. The final adjournment motion was moved by Commissioner Patterson and seconded by Commissioner Kaffenbarger; the motion carried.
