Contractor: Verizon Lamoille upgrade stalled but engineering nearly complete

Kenny, the field contractor, told the board he is pressing Verizon to begin construction at the Lamoille site and that timelines have slipped; he said some communications show June–July while other information suggests it may not happen this year.
"Lamoille, we are still still waiting on, Verizon and them to start the project ... I'm getting multiple leads stating that it's gonna be June, July, but then I'm also getting some other information that it might not even be this year," Kenny said. He added that drawings and structural analysis were complete and that the Grindstone tower structural analysis showed capacity around 26–28% for the proposed new loading.
The board discussed AT&T's preference to remain on existing towers; staff agreed to re-evaluate tower engineering once Verizon's equipment is placed or removed so the district can reassess AT&T's upgrade options. Kenny and staff will produce site inspection reports and quotes for remaining items and submit them to the board.
