The board was warned June 5 about persistent problems with call recordings and timestamps after a SIP-line integration with NGA 911. Dispatch staff said some calls are now split between NGA’s SIP recording system and the county’s Exacom system and that NGA recordings often lack date and time stamps.
"Their recording system's, like, 3 minutes behind that," the dispatch representative said, noting the county’s CHS-to-computer gap is about five minutes and NGA’s system about three minutes behind the correct time. Staff said the inconsistency means recordings must be pieced together from multiple systems and that the missing timestamps could complicate legal processes when the district attorney or courts request evidence. A ticket is open with NGA, the issue has been escalated and staff asked the board to prioritize a fix.
Staff also reported a resolved but unexplained weekend dialing outage that a vendor initially blamed on Frontier. No NGA representative attended the meeting; staff requested vendor response and clarified the problem remains a priority.
