Elko County introduces new GIS technician; 40 address points added

Zachary Farrar introduced himself to the Elko County Enhanced 911 Board on June 5 as the county's new GIS technician and reported early work adding 40 address points to county records.
"My name is Zachary Farrar. I'm the new GIS tech for Elko County replacing Andrew Meek. I started on May 19, and I'm happy to be here," Farrar told the board. He described upcoming projects including creating utility easements with the city, mapping a new subdivision with about 50 residential lots, and reviewing rezoning for parcels tied to the Nevada Rural Housing Authority.
The board treated the item as informational and took no action. Chair Lee Cabness thanked Farrar and noted staff would continue to coordinate the GIS work with county and city departments as projects progress.
