Town of Addison approves up to $185,000 for Gosper Road oil-and-stone work

Highway Superintendent Kenny Peoples Jr. had adjusted the scope and provided a contractor figure of $172,668.17 for the work (2.2 miles, 20 feet width, using 1 & 1a materials). Peoples also reported ongoing shop work, plowing and sanding operations, and a delay in taking delivery of a new F550 because of a title mix-up noted by the dealer. The board approved a budget limit to avoid exceeding town budgeted amounts.
"Motion by Council Member Trappler ... to Approve the Highway Agreement, for up to $185,000, to Triple Oil & Stone, Gosper Road," the minutes record. The board also previously recorded a budget transfer of $180,000 from DA MM to DA Motor Equip per budget to support highway equipment and projects.
Next steps: the town will finalize the contract and coordinate scheduling with the contractor; the Superintendent will follow up on the vehicle title issue before equipment delivery.
