Will County SD 92 board approves 2025-30 strategic plan, intervenes in refinery tax appeals

The Will County School District 92 Board of Education met Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Ludwig Band Room in Lockport and approved its 2025-30 Strategic Plan, a set of revised student policies, and a string of routine personnel and facilities actions.
Board members also authorized the district to file and intervene in assessment-related proceedings concerning PDV Midwest Refining's Lemont Refinery. The board approved a sealcoating contract for Reed and Walsh Schools for $30,996.25, accepted personnel actions included on the consent agenda, and approved the superintendent's goals for the year (one board member voted no). The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
