At its Aug. 5 meeting the commission unanimously approved multiple personnel and partnership items. Commissioner Biddle moved to appoint Alison Wigand to the Chattahoochee County Board of Health; the motion passed unanimously. The commission also approved the annual 4‑H agreement renewal, with the motion made by Commissioner Frost and seconded by Commissioner Douglas.
New Horizons Behavioral Health requested reappointment of April Hughes to represent Chattahoochee County for the term Dec. 1, 2025–Nov. 30, 2028; the commission approved the reappointment without recorded opposition. County staff also circulated documents and a Docusign packet related to the Annual Financial Agreement with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service (July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026), which includes a request for mileage funding to support 4‑H outreach. Correspondence from UGA extension staff and the county clerk appear in the meeting record.
The reappointments and agreement renewals were recorded in resolutions and appointment forms attached to the minutes. No county fiscal appropriation for the extension agreement was recorded in the minutes beyond the budget attachment; the county manager and extension staff will follow normal invoicing and billing procedures as indicated in the documents.
