Commissioners approved expansion of kennel capacity at the Cusseta dog pound during the Oct. 7 meeting, awarding the concrete contract to Rock Solid Construction, fencing to United Fencing, and the building to McGuire Buildings.
The motion to approve was made by Commissioner Jason Frost and seconded by Commissioner Timothy Biddle; the minutes record a unanimous vote. The county intends to increase kennel capacity as part of ongoing animal-control and shelter improvements.
