Gunnison County commissioners approved the consent agenda unanimously during their July 21 regular meeting, clearing multiple contracts, grant applications and administrative acknowledgments in a single motion.
Key items included acceptance of an FAA FY2026 Airport Infrastructure Grant Agreement (contract 3-08-0030-069-2026), authorization of a $30,000 Veterans Assistance Grant application through the Colorado Division of Veterans Affairs, participation in the Contexture Community Resource Network ($7,320) for Health and Human Services, a contract amendment with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (through June 30, 2027), and a statement of work for Colorado’s Maternal and Child Health program ($3,931.50). The Board also ratified an assumption of fire control duty (CO-GMF-000114, Elk) for the Sheriff’s Office and authorized the County Manager’s signature for 2026 asphalt paving and boundary line adjustments (LUC-24-00008).
Board action: Commissioner Houck moved approval of the consent agenda and Commissioner Smith seconded; the motion carried unanimously. Several items require follow-up by staff in their respective departments for execution and reporting.
