Will County SD 92 board meets in special session and votes to enter closed session on personnel, litigation, special-education matters

President Dusterhoft called the Special Meeting of the Board of Education of Will County School District 92 to order at 6:04 p.m. on Aug. 12, 2025, at the District Office Board Room in Lockport. Present at roll call were members Gorecki, Pavlinic, Tidwell, Przybyl, Dopke and Dusterhoft; member Washington was recorded as absent and later noted as arriving at 6:12 p.m. Superintendent Kirsten Frankovich and Assistant Superintendent for Business Services Dave Blatchley were also present.

The board announced it would enter closed session to consider the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees (citing 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)); probable or imminent litigation (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11)); and the placement of individual students in special education programs (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(10)). Member Przybyl moved to enter closed session and member Tidwell seconded. The motion carried with ayes from Gorecki, Pavlinic, Dopke, Przybyl, Tidwell and Dusterhoft; Washington was absent for that vote. The board entered closed session at 6:05 p.m. and reconvened the Special Meeting at 6:52 p.m.

The public-comment period recorded no speakers. Later in the meeting member Washington moved to adjourn; member Przybyl seconded, and the motion carried with seven ayes. The meeting was adjourned at 6:53 p.m. The minutes list standard signatory lines for the President and Secretary of the Board of Education.
