The adopted preliminary budget sets total taxes to be raised at $464,858.80, a 1.516% increase. The budget lists specific salary lines including Supervisor $6,000; Town Clerk/Tax Collector $25,090; Superintendent of Highways $54,600; Town Justice $10,752; and four Council persons at $1,200 each. Supervisor Jack Thompson opened the public hearing before the vote; no members of the public spoke in favor or opposition during the hearing. The board noted the preliminary adoption and moved forward with routine implementation steps. The board will address any final budget adoption procedures in accordance with town rules at a later calendar date.
