Dr. Gordon presented highlights of the 2025–2026 preliminary tentative budget and said deficit spending of -$203,316 is predicted for FY26. He told the committee the tentative budget "includes a budgeted amount of $200,000 for the purchase of a new math curriculum and for the purchase/install of a new grounded RTU in the 2004 Addition."
He recommended approving the tentative budget while giving the Board of Education the opportunity to "closely monitor the overall shape of the budget during the fiscal year before these two larger purchases are officially made." The committee did not take final action on these purchases at the finance meeting; the items will be subject to later BOE consideration.
