The Prospect Heights School District 23 board voted May 8 to adopt the proposed extra‑duty stipend allocations for the 2025–26 school year for both the PHEA (teachers' negotiated extra‑duty) positions and board‑allocated stipends.
Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations Amy McPartlin told the board that PHEA stipends would be held at 2023–24 allocations per the collective bargaining agreement and that activity lineup changes had been accommodated by reallocating existing funds rather than requesting additional dollars. The board‑allocated stipends (for non‑PHEA, board‑set positions) were also reviewed and approved as presented. The meeting packet shows the total BOE extra‑duty stipend sum at $50,437.98 and the PHEA extra‑duty total at $177,145.36, both recorded as unchanged from the prior year.
A motion to approve the 2025–26 stipends was made by Tracey Morrissey and seconded by Spencer Long and passed by unanimous roll call (7 Ayes). The board commended staff for adjustments that preserved programs without increasing the stipend pool.
