The WaukeWan Watershed Advisory Committee reported July 7 that VLAP water-quality testing is progressing as planned with a significantly expanded panel of tests, including focused nutrient sampling at two deeper sites. Committee notes say the Water Department is testing at eight sites across the lake and that results to date indicate minimal levels of coliforms and E. coli.
Committee members thanked Water Department staff for participating in the VLAP program and noted that expanded testing will help define nutrient concentrations in deeper parts of the lake.
