Tom Shuchak, residents criticize short notice for meeting rescheduling

Committee members acknowledged the problem and cited legal notice constraints. A board member apologized and noted Brown Act and public-notice requirements limit last-minute changes; staff said the regular improvements-committee meeting is the first Wednesday of the month at 8 a.m. and urged submitting agenda items at least a week to 10 days in advance to ensure consideration. The chair said the board will examine communication practices to reduce confusion for members and public commenters.
