The North Mankato City Council convened a work session on April 7, 2025. Public Works Director Arnold reviewed solid waste and recycling activity and cleanup program options; City Planner Lassonde presented the Rental Density Steering Committee's review of City Code Chapter 151.18 and recommended keeping the 10% cap.
Council Member Peterson raised concerns about the survey's representativeness and data veracity, and City Administrator McCann reported that the steering committee will not continue the study and stands by its recommendations. Mayor Carlson asked staff to present the final steering committee materials at an upcoming regular Council meeting. Council Member Steiner moved, seconded by Council Member Whitlock, to adjourn the session at 6:52 p.m.
